by Truck News

GREAT FALLS, Mon. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced yesterday (Nov. 19) that it would be reducing its operational hours at the Raymond, Mon. Port of Entry effective Dec. 27.

Previously open 24 hours a day, the new hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, for a total of 16 hours per day.

The port will maintain its designation as a commercial port of entry.

Those wishing to cross into the U.S. from Canada between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 7:59 a.m. will need to do so at the Portal, N.D. Port of Entry or the Sweetgrass, Mon., Port of Entry.

The CBP said the reduction in hours was part of its continuing program to align staff to workload and to more effectively utilize its facilities and resources to provide better service to its customers.
