WINNIPEG, Man. — The Manitoba Livestock Manure Management Initiative has chipped in $57,000 to help Intelligent Sensing for Innovative Structures (ISIS) develop manure storage facilities.

The contribution will help ISIS with their design procedures for reinforced concrete manure storage tanks which feature glass fibre reinforced polymer for additional strength.

The ultimate goal for ISIS is to create the optimum composite material for designing and building more economical and environmentally friendly manure storage facilities.
