Islanders finding lower prices at the pumps

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission of P.E.I. has announced decreases in petroleum product pricing.

Decreases in all products in petroleum wholesalers’ dealer and consumer pricing schedules have been authorized. Ultramar will drop prices by 3.4 cents per litre (cpl), Shell Canada by 2.7 cpl, Imperial Oil by 3.4 cpl, Irving Oil by 3.4 cpl, Petro-Canada by 3.3 cpl and Co-op Atlantic by 3.0 cpl.

Irving Oil also received approval to decrease its price for propane by 3.6 cpl, while Superior Propane received approval to decrease by 3.7 cpl. All pricing adjustments were effective at 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 1.
