ABBEVILLE, La. – Joseph Soliman has taken over as the chief engineer of RODI Power Systems, a developer of diesel power technology and manufacturer of power systems for the trucking industry.

Soliman, previously engineering manager for many Cummins research and development projects, says the challenge of bringing a new-concept engine to market is what attracted him to RODI.

“RODI’s approach makes tremendous sense,” he says. “As we test the production HT1-450, the numbers are confirming earlier computer projections, which is very exciting. Our next challenge is to further reduce the engine’s weight, increasing our weight advantage over competing engine models.”

As chief engineer of RODI Power Systems, Soliman will lead the final testing and proving of the company’s HT1-450 engine, as well as direct the development of a 700 hp V-8 version, designed to meet the demands of the marine industry.
