Large retailers saw sales jump in March
OTTAWA, Ont. — Sales by Canada’s large retailers totalled $6.2 billion in March, which represents an eight per cent increase over last year.
This builds on February’s success when sales totalled $5.1 billion — a 4.2 per cent increase over February 2000.
All major commodity groups recorded year-over-year sales increases except hardware and lawn and garden products.
