GREENSBORO, NC — Mack Trucks donated a truck to the Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF) live auction, taking place on April 30 at WasteExpo 2014.

All proceeds from the auction will go towards EREF’s research initiatives to help attain sustainable waste management practices.

“We’re proud to again donate a Mack model to the EREF auction in support of their excellent work for the refuse and recycling industry,” said Curtis Dorwart, Mack refuse product marketing manager. “This is an opportunity for us to help further work that yields real benefits to those within the waste management business and the communities they serve.”

Mack donated a Granite Axle Forward model to the EREF complete with a Galbreath hoist and Pioneer tarping system. It has a Mack MP7-405M engine and a six-speed Allison 4500 DS transmission.

This Mack’s 18th year donating to the EREF auction.
