Mack Trucks expands partnered services offering

by Truck News

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Mack Trucks has enhanced its uptime solutions by expanding its partnered services offering, the company announced today.

The expansion enables faster, more accurate diagnostics and improved communication so customers can reduce downtime. The improved diagnostics is a result of the company integrating Mack ASIST with Truck Diagnostics System (TDS). Once TDS identifies a vehicle error, a service case is opened in ASIST and the customer can identify was is wrong with the truck quickly.

The technology will let customers know the severity of the problem and how long it will take to service to help them manage the issue immediately.

“The further integration of our Uptime Solutions offers customers an overall better experience,” said Stephen Roy, president of Mack Trucks North America. “Customers receive faster, more accurate information so they can make a repair decision, and the repairs are also started soon because the case is automatically opens.”

The company added that the expansion complements Mack’s GuardDog Connect, the proactive diagnostic and repair planning solution.
