WINNIPEG, Man. — The Manitoba Provincial Truck Driving Championships has been scheduled.

Designed to showcase the best professional drivers in the province, the day-long event will take place on June 21 at Peterbilt Manitoba starting at 8 a.m. Competitors will first take a walk-through with the judges who will explain the rules to them and answer any questions. From there, drivers from five classes will compete in a driving challenge, a written test and a timed vehicle inspection. The day ends with the Driver Awards Banquet at Viscount Gort, where the top three winners from each class will be presented with their awards, as well as the Custom Truck Sales/Kenworth Industry Excellence winners and the Volvo Trucks Canada Manitoba Driver of the Year.

The day will also be broadcasted live at a local radio station, QX104 to help raise awareness of the event and the trucking industry as a whole.
