VICTORIA, B.C. — A contract has be awarded, which will see the Millstream Connector completed and the Millstream Extension begun.

Esquimalt-Metchosin MLA, Moe Sihota, announced the $11 million contract, which was awarded to Emil Anderson Construction of Hope, B.C.

“The new route will provide a safe, alternative link between Hwy.s 1 and 14, while at the same time supporting planned local development and growth,” says Sihota. “This clearly show how partnerships can result in widespread benefits.”

The Millstream Connector is part of the Vancouver Island Highway Project, and is being managed by the Ministry of Transportation and Highways on behalf of the B.C. Transportation Financing Authority.
