MINISTER COLLENETTE GETS AWARD

OTTAWA, Ont. — Transport Minister David Collenette has been awarded a prize for his contribution to public transit and sustainable development by Transport 2000 Canada.

The organization handed its Orange Prize to the federal minister at a ceremony in Ottawa last night.

Transport 2000 Canada, founded in 1976, is a transportation watchdog group made up of 1,500 members organized into regional chapters in the Atlantic, Quebec, Ontario, the Prairies and British Columbia.
