MILESTONE, Sask. — Work has recently begun on a 14.4 kilometre stretch of Hwy. 39 near Milestone, Sask.

The project, which should be completed by the end of June, will see the highway resurfaced by Morsky Construction of Regina.

“Highway 39 carries a high volume of traffic, resulting in road deterioration,” says Highways and Transportation Minister, Pat Atkinson. “Highway 39 is an important road, and needs to be kept in good driving condition.”

The cost of the project is about $3 million and will require 21 full-time workers.
