CUPAR, Sask. – Work is under way to resurface a seven kilometre stretch of Hwy. 22 just east of Cupar.

The $600,000 road improvement project should wrap up in mid-September and will take 31 full-time workers to complete.

The area being affected is Hwy. 22 from the junction with Grid 640, west.

“Highway 22 east of Cupar has experienced significantly higher volumes of traffic in the last couple of years,” says Highways and Transportation Minister Pat Atkinson. “It’s necessary to keep this important highway in good driving condition.”
