New bill to improve trade through Canada-U.S. corridor

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — The provincial governments of Quebec and Ontario are teaming up with New York State’s Transportation Department to improve border crossings.

New York Governor, George Pataki was on hand recently to sign the Cooperative Border Project Bill.

The bill is aimed at improving cooperation between the provincial and state governments to enhance trade through the various trade corridors linking Canada and the U.S.

The signing took place at the Plattsburgh-North Country Chamber of Commerce.
