DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — In an age where grain elevators are being torn down by the hundreds, farmers and grain haulers are excited that Louis Dreyfus Canada will be opening a new elevator here this fall.

The steel elevator, being built at the B.C. Rail yard, will be erected near the existing Pioneer and Agricore elevators.

B.C. Grain Producer Association president, Jim Smolik, welcomes the competition, stating simply that, “Any competition is good.”
