New Jersey companies merge

Pennsauken N.J. —  Northstar Services Ltd. and J&E Transportation Services have merged

Northstar is an asset-based carrier that offers trucking and drayage. It is based in Pennsauken N.J. Gloucester City, N.J.-based J&E is a general commodities domestic freight broker and warehousing provider.

“The merger of these two companies enables us to offer fully-integrated services to all steamship lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, 3PLs, and beneficial cargo owners,” said J&E’s chief operating officer Al Iannelli. “The value-add is additional capacity.”

Martin Marano, chair of Northstar Services added, “The merger has increased our capacity to 80 trucks for local, regional, and over-the-road trucking services and the newly opened 145,000-square-foot warehouse in Pennsauken, N.J. allows our customers additional space,” said Marano.
