CALGARY, Alta. — In an effort to help Alberta fleets manage commercial vehicle licensing and tax compliance, North Star Fleet Solutions is providing free seminars from April to June for interested parties.

The series of seminars will be led by North Star Fleet Solutions managing partner, Sandy Johnson, and will be hosted by the Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA).

Among other things, participants will learn when to use single trip permits versus when to use prorated licensing, how to improve compliance and lower the risk of fines and audits, and how to reduce the risk of setbacks or unexpected costs.

The seminars will be held on the same days as these AMTA regional safety meetings:

•   Red Deer – April 16
•   Calgary – May 1
•   Medicine Hat – May 13
•   Lethbridge – May 21
•   Fort McMurray – May 28 (tentative)
•   Edmonton – June 10
•   Grande Prairie – June 12

You can register for these seminars by calling 780-395-6140 or emailing lindsayw1@amta.ca.

Sandy Johnson, the leader of the seminar is a new columnist in Truck West magazine.
