Plan ahead to cross bridges

NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. — Last weekend’s crossings at the Niagara Regional International Bridges were a success thanks to motorists and truckers heading advice to plan ahead.

With that in mind, the Peace Bridge Authority and the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission are reminding the travellers to repeat the practice. Truckers should expect heavier than normal traffic due to increases in seasonal tourism and special events.

Between Aug. 10 and 12, peak times at all bridges are expected to be from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Canadian bound traffic, and from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for U.S. bound traffic.

U.S. bound traffic using any of the three bridges should use their current travel routes. Overflow routes will be established if necessary.
