CANORA, Sask. — Traffic on Hwy. 5 between Canora and Mikado will be slowed as construction workers repave a 12-kilometre section.

The $1 million upgrade will begin this week and should wrap up by the end of the month.

“Highway 5 has been experiencing higher volumes of heavy traffic recently and it’s a priority to keep this highway in good driving condition,” says Highways and Transportation Minsister, Pat Atkinson. “Once this highway work is finished, motorists will enjoy a lengthy stretch of improved highway.”

The project is the continuation of a resurfacing venture that got under way last summer.
