Ritchie Bros. holding auctions in Toronto, Montreal and Truro

MONTREAL, Que. – In an unreserved public auction in Montreal, Quebec, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the world’s largest industrial auctioneer, will sell more than 2,900 pieces of equipment and trucks.

Bids for the Montreal, QC auction can be made in person at the auction site on December 5-6 or live online at www.rbauction.com and by proxy.

“We are selling a huge selection of equipment in this auction—more than 400 pieces—from lifting and material handling equipment to light and heavy construction equipment, along with attachments and more,” said André Véronneau, President and CEO of Simplex Equipment Rental. “With Ritchie Bros. we are able to quickly turn our idle equipment into cash and put that money towards upgrading our rental fleet with new equipment in order to improve our customer service.”

Equipment highlights in the auction include over 150 truck tractors, 70 hydraulic excavators, over 40 wheel loaders, more than 30 articulated dump trucks, over 20 crawler tractors and more—every item will be sold without minimum bids or reserve prices.

“This is our fifth auction of 2013 and thanks to sellers like Simplex Equipment Rental we have another diverse set of equipment for buyers to choose from,” said Jessy Cantin, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros. On December 9, Ritchie Bros. plans to sell more than 2,000 equipment items and trucks at its permanent auction site in Toronto.
