FREMONT, Calif. — @Road, a provider of location-enhanced wireless Internet solutions for mobile resource management, has announced the availability of Landmarks, a new optional feature of FleetASAPSM, a Web-based mobile resource management solution.

The new LocationSmart Landmarks option is designed to provide FleetASAP subscribers with enhanced scheduling and reporting capabilities by enabling them to post up to 2000 destinations, such as customer locations, in their customized FleetASAP mapping database by address and/or landmark.

Landmarks offer features such as the ability to store up to 2000 customer landmarks. It can also batch file upload up to three times a month. A user-definable range for triggering a customer landmark stop can be listed in an activity report and it has the ability to locate 10 of the nearest vehicles to address and/or landmark. As well, the new feature offers the ability to display vehicle name, distance from the address and/or landmark and direction.

Existing FleetASAP services include location, monitoring, messaging, reporting and scheduling capabilities for businesses with mobile resources.
