SEARCH IS ON FOR B.C. DRIVER OF THE YEAR

LANGLEY, B.C. – The British Columbia Trucking Association (BCTA) and Volvo Trucks Canada are again preparing to recognize the province’s 2001 Driver of the Year.

The award for safe driving among professional truckers will be presented at the BCTA Conference in Penticton, B.C. on June 8.

Nominees for the award must have a good driving record over the last five years, at least five years behind the wheel, at least one year with their current employer.

Preference will be given to drivers who show a commitment to safety, are active in their community and have many years of trucking experience.

Nomination forms must be submitted by Apr. 12, and are available from the BCTA. Call 800-565-2282 for more information.
