SKF president Mike McGrath passes away

ELGIN, Ill. — Mike McGrath, president of SKF Vehicle Service Market, North America, passed away suddenly Oct. 11, the company has announced.

McGrath was an automotive and heavy-duty industry leader for the past 25 years. He was 54 at the time of his passing.

McGrath worked for SKF since 1993 and held the position of president of the North American vehicle service market for the past seven years. The company said he was “respected and admired by his friends and colleagues throughout SKF and the automotive and heavy-duty industries.”

He was an active member of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) and Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association and other industry associations.

He is survived by his three children, Jenna, Michael and Jaclyn.
