ABBOTSFORD, B.C. – Thirty-six Orion Truck Centre Ltd. employees are looking for work after the Abbotsford, B.C. Western Star dealer closed its doors last week.

Orion president Dave Polack cites a slowdown in the transportation industry as the reason for the closure.

“There’s been a North America wide downturn in the transportation industry, and we weren’t the only dealer to go down this week in the trading area,” Polack told local media. “We were probably not able to adjust quickly enough to the market downturn.”

Despite the closure, Orion Fleet Services will continue to operate.
