TORONTO, Ont. — Spectra and Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems have entered into an exclusive, North American distribution agreement worth about $4 million.

The pact is for the purchase, distribution and sale of Spectra’s visual brake stroke indicator and diagnostic system.

The alliance provides Spectra with unprecedented access to the trucking and busing industries.

Spectra’s Brake Safe product will be distributed under the Bendix product name throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

Spectra plans to convert its network of Brake Safe distributors to the Bendix supplied product line by midyear.
