ASSINIBOIA, Sask. — An increase in truck traffic has led to repairs being made on a 16-km stretch of Hwy. 13, east of Assiniboia.

The project, which gets under way in May, will continue through the summer, wrapping up in September.

“Highway 13 near Assiniboia has seen an increase in truck traffic, which leads to deterioration, so we are working hard to rebuild certain sections of this highway,” says Highways and Transportation Minister, Pat Atkinson. “By strengthening and surfacing this particular section, Highway 13 will be able to handle heavier traffic loads.”
