Tragedy claims the life of Manitoba trucker
BRANDON, Man. — A Portage La Prairie trucker is dead, following a freak accident near Brandon.
The accident occurred in a private driveway, where two transport trucks were trying to get by each other on the narrow road. One truck reportedly slipped into the ditch, flipped over and crushed the cab.
Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health officials are investigating the accident, but no charges have been laid. Police have yet to release the names of the individuals involved in the incident.
