MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Trailer Wizards will be celebrating it’s 50th anniversary with customer appreciation events across Canada this spring. The company started with a single Can-Car trailer purchased in British Columbia on April 30, 1963 and has grown to include over 300 employees, 16 Total Customer Care Centres and more than 20,000 trailers.

“On behalf of the Trailer Wizards family, I want to say ‘Thank You’ to everyone who has contributed to our success over the last 50 years,” said Doug Vanderspek, president of Trailer Wizards. “We wouldn’t have been able to do it without the hard work of our employees and the support of our customers.”

As part of the 50th anniversary celebration, officials say Trailer Wizards will be giving back to the community by partnering with Food Banks Canada, acting as an official sponsor of Hunger Awareness Week (May 6-10), and donate $25,000 to support national programs.

Trailer Wizards’ branches will also be organizing their own food drives to support local food banks during their 50th anniversary customer appreciation events with the hopes of raising an additional $25,000 of food and money for a total of $50,000. Officials are encouraging guests to bring canned or non-perishable food items, noting that any money or food raised will stay with a local food bank charity.

Both the media and the public have been invited to attend Trailer Wizards’ customer appreciation days at the following dates and locations:

May 15 – Langley, B.C. (20289 102nd Avenue)
May 29 – Calgary, Alta. (9559 40 St SE)
