“The remarkable calibre of applicants made the selection challenging,” says Claudia Milicevic, senior director and general manager of TransCore Link Logistics. “These exceptional students differentiated themselves among applicants academically and through their engagement in school and their desire to help others.”

Currently, Weake is in the concurrent education program at Brock University and hopes to teach French someday.

“I want to thank you for this amazing opportunity and promise that your investment in me will help me accomplish all of my dreams,” she said. “I am one step closer to doing what I want to do and being what I want to be.”

Barry is studying human rights and history at St. Thomas University.

“I want to thank you very much for selecting me to receive the scholarship,” she said. “It will allow me to get my degree while having to worry less about the financial burden of education.”

TransCore said that it hopes these scholarships will help students to continue their educational pursuits.
