TORONTO, Ont. — TransCore Link Logistics is offering $5000 in post-secondary scholarships.
Dependants of TransCore clients and non-clients can apply for a $2500 scholarship for academic excellence and a $2500 scholarship based on their demonstration of being a model student.
The new scholarship program is called LinkScholar and was created to help students by assisting with tuition fees in any post-secondary level of education (university, community college, trade schools etc.)
“I see this program as an opportunity to give back to the communities in which we live and work. More importantly, it’s one more way we can give back to our customers,” said Claudia Milicevic, senior director and general manager of TransCore Link Logistics.
The scholarship is available to any employee in a member organizer, including company drivers, dispatcher and office coordinators, as well as any graduating high school student in Canada who has an affiliation to the transportation industry.  The deadline to apply is June 30, 2014.
