TRUCKERS HANDED AWARDS FROM THE PETROLEUM INDUSTRY

EDMONTON, Alta. — The Petroleum Services Association of Canada has handed out its first annual Safe Driving & Carrier Safety Awards.

On the drivers side, Floyd Ray of Firemaster Oilfield Services won the award in the category of Fire, Shower and Safety Services.

Randy Brodersen, a driver with Pe Ben Industries, won for General Oilfield Services. Ron Allan, with DC Energy Services, won for Rig Moving, and Kelly Snider, who drives for Computalog, won in the category of Wireline Services.

All winners received a silver belt buckle.

On the carrier side, ICO Miller Oilfield Hauling won in the category of one-to-five million kilometers, and Coputalog won in the category of over-10 million kilometers.

The awards were handed out at a ceremony in Edmonton Apr. 17.

The association represents the oilfield service, supply and manufacturing sector and has more than 260 member companies.
