Trucking celebrations set for end of August

OTTAWA, Ont. — The third annual National Trucking Week 2001 will take place this summer from Aug. 26 through to Sept. 1.

According to David Bradley, chief executive officer of the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA), the shift allows for a harmonized effort across the continent.

“Transport drivers travel throughout North America and it just makes sense to celebrate the event during the same period as the United States,” says the CTA. “The event aims to raise awareness among all Canadians of the vital service truck transportation provides in keeping the country’s freight moving — safely, reliably and efficiently.”
