VersaCold hires new executives
VANCOUVER, B.C. – VersaCold Logistics Services has two new executives on its senior management team.
Michael Spence was hired to take on the role of chief financial officer (CFO). In addition to overseeing the finances and accounting, he will also be responsible for VersaCold’s technology strategy and platforms. Spence will report directly to president and CEO Douglas Harrison.
Before joining VersaCold, Spence was president and CFO of Canadian General Tower. He is both a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
Also new to the leadership team is Joe Sammon, who is the company’s new vice-president of engineering. Sammon is a professional engineer whose previous job was managing over forty BlackBerry facilities.
Sammon will oversee VersaCold’s physical plant and overall facility engineering. He will also take charge of VersaCold’s green energy initiatives.
