Wabash receives two TTMA Plant Safety Awards

LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Wabash National announced today that it received two 2015 Plant Safety Awards from the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA) for tank trailer manufacturing operations in Wisconsin and Oregon.

The awards are given to tank and trailer manufacturers based on the number of man-hours worked.

Wabash National’s operation in New Lisbon, Wisconsin, which manufactures Walker brand tank trailers, received the 2015 Plant Safety Award for tank manufacturing. It won in Category B, for plants that reported between 300,000 and 750,000 man-hours.

As well, the company’s operation in Portland, Oregon, which manufactures Beall brand tank trailers, was selected for the Most Improved Tank Plant Award.

“Being recognized by TTMA for exemplary safety performance is a testament to the operational excellence our associates deliver every day,” said Dave Hodorff, vice-president of operations, Tank Trailer business. “This achievement is the result of our entire company’s commitment to safety for all of our associates, which has now been awarded to our tank trailer business for the 10th year. We congratulate our entire team for a job well done.”

This year marks the 45th presentation of TTMA’s Plant Safety Awards.
