Wheel Monitor updates its wares for PLC

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, Ont. — With the advent of PLC4TRUCKS (Power Line Carrier) technology that is now hitting the industry, Wheel Monitor has retooled its truck and trailer monitoring products.

The company’s CTC 200/400 offerings can now watch over trailer brake tank pressure and features a second low air light and buzzer to notify the operator about any problems — the same way it always has for the tractor.

“For just on DOT brake infraction (cost of fine and delay) you could purchase this system,” says Tim Martin, vice-president. He adds both new and retrofit applications of either system also offer two additional monitoring features: lift axle and reverse light/alarm.
