East Coast International brings HX Series to Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show

by Truck News

MONCTON, N.B. — The Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show runs Apr. 7-8 at the Moncton Coliseum Complex and East Coast International Trucks is taking the opportunity to introduce eastern fleets to the new International HX Series.

The HX Series is a new line of vocational trucks that will replace the International PayStar.

“This is the first new product launch we’ve had since 2010, so as a dealer we are very excited” says David Lockhart, president, East Coast International Trucks. “The idea behind the HX Series is to be a premium vocational product for International Truck – a product that will put us back into a leading position in the vocational market.”

Four HX Series models will be available: the HX515, a 115-inch BBC set-forward axle straight truck; a HX615, a 115-inch BBC set-back axle truck or tractor; the HX620, a 120-inch BBC set-back axle truck or tractor; and a fourth model, the HX520 – a 120-inch BBC set-forward truck or tractor intended for heavy applications. The 515 and 615 will be powered by Navistar’s N13 engine while the HX520 and HX620 will get Cummins ISX15 power.

“The launch of the HX Series, along with the recent over-the-air reprogramming and ISL engine announcement was a great way to start the year for International,” added David Lockhart. “We are placing orders already for the HX and are eager to see them get to work in the Maritimes provinces.”
