International WorkStar with ISB6.7 enters production

LISLE, Ill. — International has announced its WorkStar vocational truck with the Cummins ISB6.7 engine is now in production.

Both the WorkStar and DuraStar can now be ordered with the ISB6.7 engine.

“Production of the WorkStar with Cummins ISB6.7 is an important milestone in meeting the needs of vocational customers by providing a comprehensive offering of proven components,” said Jeff Sass, Navistar senior vice-president, North America Truck Sales and Marketing. “The WorkStar with Cummins ISB6.7 gives customers a winning combination of performance and strength.”

Other WorkStar engine options include Navistar’s 9.3- and 13-litre engines. It can also be had with a variety of manual and automated manual transmissions as well as fully-automatic Allison transmissions.

The ISB6.7 is rated to 325 hp and 750 lb.-ft. of torque.

“The International WorkStar with Cummins ISB6.7 is the right truck for a large portion of our vocational customers,” said David Hillman, vice-president and general manager, International Truck Vocational Product Line. “Customers don’t have to compromise. They can have it al – efficiency, comfort, capability, and now the proven Cummins ISB6.7 engine.”
