Michelin enters deal with Aperia to launch Auto Inflate

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Michelin has entered a deal with Aperia Technologies to market its Halo Tire Inflator as Michelin Auto Inflate, powered by Halo.

It’s a wheel-mounted tire pressure management system that maintains pressures without tapping into the truck or trailer air system. It derives its power from the rotational movement of the wheel.

The companies say fleets can save about US$2,400 per year through reduced downtime, extended tire life and improved fuel economy.

“Michelin Auto Inflate is simple, reliable and good for business,” said Adam Murphy, vice-president of marketing for Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “Due to a number of complicated factors that cause tire pressures to change day-to-day and hour-to-hour, maintaining optimal tire pressure is nearly impossible to achieve manually. Michelin Auto Inflate, using Aperia’s Halo device, provides an immediate payback for one of fleets’ biggest assets by eliminating complexity and automatically managing air pressure in the tires that keep their trucks rolling.”

  • I have been trying to reach Aperia with no response back from anyone. If they build a good product , its too bad they are failing in customer service dept.

  • Keith,
I serve as the VP of Sales at Aperia and want to apologize that we haven’t gotten back to you in a timely manner. We take a lot of pride in going above and beyond for our customers and it sounds like we dropped the ball here. We have gotten a tremendous amount of inbound requests and I know the team has been working hard to field all the great inquiries, but again it sounds like we fell short with you and there are no excuses. We truly appreciate your interest. I am boarding a plane right now but will personally reach out to you first thing tomorrow morning.
    Best,
    Jan Mertens
