About the presenter:

Douglas J. Harrison, MBA, CPA, CMA, CCLP, ICD.D is President & CEO of VersaCold, Canada’s largest provider of temperature sensitive logistics solutions including transportation, warehousing, 3PL, Transportation Management & 4PL and Distributor Services.

Doug has served as Chief Operating Officer of Day & Ross Transportation Group (a subsidiary of McCain Foods) President of; Acklands – Grainger, Canada’s leading Industrial and safety supply company and previously was Vice President and Managing Director for Ryder Integrated Logistics, where he oversaw Ryder’s Business Units in Canada and Europe.

Doug has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 leaders, and was honoured by the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation with its Award of Excellence. He is also the recipient of the National Transportation Award of Achievement.

Doug has presented at numerous universities and colleges, and is a regular guest at Queen’s University where he presents on Strategy, Change Management and Leadership.

Doug holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University (Scotland). He is a Graduate of the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CCLP), and holds a number of other transportation and logistics designations. Doug has been awarded the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, and is a graduate of the CMA’s certification program.

Doug currently serves as a Board member of; Hamilton Utilities (Chair, Human Resources and Governance Committee), Horizon Utilities, TSSA-Technical Safety Standards Authority and Superior Plus (TSX:SPB). He has served on a number of other organization and corporate Boards such as The Conference Board of Canada, Chair of the Board of Governors of Mohawk College and Livingston International where he was Chair of the Board of Directors for numerous years.
