PARTY: The perfect summer day, September 6, was in order for KRTS to kick-off National Trucking Week and their hometown Caledonia's 150th birthday celebration. They did so with representatives from six of their "preferred carriers" and their rigs in attendance, along with the Labatt's Keg Truck. Achievement Awards were handed out to the carriers for their contribution to the field of transportation. Two Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Bill Leng and Ken Cole, two of KRTS' retiring trainers. With the mayor, the MPP, a BBQ, kids, games, music and KRTS students in attendance, the event was a success. n
