Saskatchewan updates Traffic Act
REGINA, Sask. – Several changes to Saskatchewan’s Highway Traffic Act that were passed in the legislature in June are now in effect.
Among the changes, legislation now allows the use of red light camera systems in the province.
Other rules relate to vehicle operation.
Loading lamps, for example, have to be extinguished before you drive on a highway. If a tow truck, highway maintenance vehicle, snow removal vehicle, service vehicle or pilot car is fitted with an amber beacon or flashing light, it can’t be used unless the vehicle is coming to a stop or it’s necessary for the safe operation of the vehicle, or if the vehicle presents a hazard on the highway.
You can’t drive past an emergency vehicle at more than 60 km-h if it’s stopped on the highway with its emergency lights flashing. However, the rule doesn’t apply if the highway is divided by a median and the emergency vehicle is on the other side of the road.

I do a lot of night driving! Is there a law about meeting or following with those clear driving lights on? they can blind your vision at times, especially when meeting one when one is also following close behind. I think these people are just inconsiderate, however should be a law if there isn’t.
