Canadian long-haul drivers sought for health survey
A researcher with the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom wants to talk to Canadian long-haul truck drivers to find out how they access information about health, well-being and physical activity while on the road.
A $25 Tim Horton’s gift card is being offered in exchange for completing an hour-long phone interview. Dr. Paul Gorczynski said the only requirements are that the drivers run long-haul and work for a Canadian company.
“Long-haul truck drivers face extremely sedentary working conditions that place them at high risk for chronic health conditions and early death. A new study coordinated out of the University of Portsmouth is currently evaluating how Canadian long-haul truck drivers receive information about health, well-being, and physical activity. The study is aimed at improving the way truck drivers receive information and services to help them improve their overall health,” Gorczynski told Trucknews.com.

That’s a no brainer don’t go to Tim Hortons as that is unhealthily in its self. I thought this article is about health not a slow death of a truck driver.
