Normandin Transit sells to TFI International
MONTREAL, Que. – TFI International has purchased Normandin Transit, one of the highest-profile fleets in Quebec. The Napierville operation had grown to 300 tractors and 1,000 trailers since being founded in 1988, and offered LTL and truckload services across North America. It will now run as a unit within TFI’s LTL operating segment but will continue to be led by siblings Danielle and André Normandin.

Overall TFI revenue up, but TL drags
MONTREAL, QC - TFI International saw a 23% boost in revenue in the second quarter of 2017, reaching $1.12 billion - but Canada's largest carrier still posted a $47.2 million operating loss because of a $129.8 million goodwill write-off of U.S. truckload operations.
Slow U.S. truckload business dampens TFI results
MONTREAL, QC - TFI International remains "cautiously optimistic" about the North American economy because of low unemployment, healthy consumer spending, and a bit of a rebound in energy-related investments, says Alain Bedard, chairman, president and Chief Executive Officer. The company just doesn't expect any significant improvement before the end of the year.
