Headlights Again: Now digital
A few months ago I wrote a couple of times about headlights, complaining that the standard lamps offered in most vehicles -- from cars to heavy trucks -- are insufficient. Meaning, it's too easy to over-drive your lights at what are pretty ordinary speeds nowadays. The light just isn't thrown far enough down the road, reducing the ability of a driver to see far enough ahead to avoid an obstruction and maybe a catastrophic accident.

Ford expands modifier program for electrics, hybrids
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Ford is expanding its Qualified Vehicle Modifier program to include companies that develop and install electrified and hydraulic hybrid powertrains. XL Hybrids, Lightning Hybrids, and Motiv Power Systems have already been named as the first three developers.

Navistar, Ford agree to new negotiations in engine dispute
CHICAGO -- Feuding business partners Navistar International and Ford Corp. have entered into a consent injunction in which Navistar will continue shipping 6.4L Power Stroke diesel engines to Ford, and the carmaker will pay, without deductions, for each engine.
