BOLTON, ON - Titanium Transportation Group has appointed David Bradley to its board as an independent director. Bradley, outgoing president and CEO of the Ontario Trucking Association and the Canadian Trucking Alliance, will assume the new role on Jan. 1, where he will be joining the company's audit committee. A significant presence in the trucking industry for more than three decades, Bradley was responsible for leading key initiatives including the introduction of mandatory speed limiter activation, a universal electronic logging device (ELD) mandate, and mandatory entry level training (MELT) for truck drivers.
GUELPH, ON - Size and human resources issues were behind the recent sale of MacKinnon Transport to Contrans Group, that took just 24 days from handshake to final close. Former president and CEO of MacKinnon Transport, Evan MacKinnon, says the company was doing well, but couldn't overcome some of the challenges associated with their size, forcing them to choose to grow, or sell the family business.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Embattled Celadon Group is adding more changes in its efforts to refocus amid an investigation by the Secuurities and Exchange Commission in the United States. The group made tow announcements last week including the appointment of Vincent Donargo as the new vice president and Chief Accounting Officer, effective Nov. 30. Celadon said Donargo brings with him over 30 years of accounting and financial leadership experience, including serving as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Beaulieu Group, a North American carpet and flooring manufacturing company, before taking on his new position.
EVANSVILLE, IN - Atlas Van Lines announced a new president and chief operating officer (COO). The division of Atlas World Group named Joe Stackhouse to the role Tuesday. Stackhouse comes to Atlas with a 30-year background in the telecommunications industry, including senior leadership positions with AT&T, Comcast Corporation, and Charter Communications. He most recently served as the president and COO of American Utility Management in Chicago.

But the vice president of human resources at Siemens Transportation Group and this year's winner of the Trucking HR Canada Top Fleet Employers HR Leader Award - and the first woman in 80 years to win the Saskatchewan Trucking Association's Service to Industry Award - knew right away that she and her longstanding employer were a fit. "It was the funniest interview," she recalls of the first day with Siemens Transportation Group owner Erwen Siemens, about 28 years ago. "It was all about family, and he showed me the whole company within the first half hour."

CALGARY, AB - Randy Muth is leaving Cervus Equipment. The Chief Financial Officer for the authorized service centers and dealerships will retire at the end of the year. With the announcement of Muth's retirement after 13 years with Cervus, the company also appointed Adam Lowther to be his replacement. Currently the director of finance for Cervus, Lowther will assume the new role Jan. 1, 2018.
LANGLEY, BC - The British Columbia Trucking Association (BCTA) will begin the new year with a new president and Chief Executive Officer. The association announced Dave Earle will assume the role on Jan. 8, 2018. In the role he will be responsible for the overall management and direction of the provincial association, as well as promoting its interests and the interests of members with governments, the business community, and the public.
BRAMPTON, ON - Hankook Tire has a new director of sales and marketing in Canada. The company announced today that John Overing will oversee the region's sales team, and will be instrumental in identifying growth opportunities within the Canadian market. Overing has more than 18 years of industry experience, including senior-level positions at Yokohama Tire and Michelin North America.
