David Bradley discusses border pre-clearance on Trucker Radio News & Talk

by Truck News

This week’s Trucker Radio News & Talk features Canadian Trucking Alliance chief David Bradley discussing the implications of a new border pre-clearance agreement between the US and Canada. It’s an idea whose time has come, Bradley says, noting CTA has been pushing for this for a decade and that drivers will benefit.

Truck News editor James Menzies provides an overview of Phase 2 of the EPA/NHTSA greenhouse gas regs for heavy-duty trucks, with a proposed rulemaking scheduled to be announced this month. Menzies also interviews Kriska’s Marcel Boisvenue about the company’s new International ProStars with SmartAdvantage powertrain.

Host Stan Campbell begins a series of interviews with provincial and state trucking associations on how to attract young drivers to the industry. The first of these interviews includes some forward-thinking from the Tennessee Trucking Association.

And of course there’s an always entertaining Dufus Driver story from Tim Denis. You can listen to the show at www.TruckerRadioTalk.com. A new feature that debuts this week allows listeners to download individual segments for listening later, even when offline.

  • David Bradley knows very little about how the border works, just like most other people who sit behind a desk, maybe talk to actual drivers who cross on a rugular basis.
