Grande Prairie reduces speed limits

GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alta. — Truckers in and around the City of Grande Prairie are being urged to take a second look at speed limit signs as limits have been reduced on many area roads.

Since the city has taken over the responsibility of roads formerly controlled by the County of Grande Prairie, speed limits have been reduced in about a dozen locations.

City transportation engineer, Darwin Juell, says that drivers should be aware of the changes, especially when travelling outreaching areas.
