Peterson launches new interior LED, named standard supplier to P.S.I.

GRANDVIEW, Mo. -- Peterson Manufacturing has introduced a new interior lighting system for cargo vehicles.

GRANDVIEW, Mo. — Peterson Manufacturing has introduced a new interior lighting system for cargo vehicles.

The 359 Series is a slim one-inch by 18-inch LED light bar that the company says provides advantages over traditional recessed dome lights. It’s easy to mount using surface screws and requires no cutting into trailer ceilings or sidewalls to install heat dissipating mounting pans and conduit, Peterson announced. Simple, no-splice harness connections prevent wiring problems and save labour costs.

“Purchasing and installing these new lights is about half the cost of the old, recessed dome light models,” says Pat Clift, director, OEM sales with Peterson.

The new lights produce 600 lumens per unit while requiring less amp demand than conventional LED ceiling units, Peterson says.

“The 359’s mounting versatility allows lights to be located strategically around the trailer interior,” said Clift. “You can flood the entire trailer with bright light, banishing shadows and enhancing the convenience and safety of cargo handling, day or night.”

Peterson also announced it was chosen to supply indicator lights for the automatic tire inflation system produced by Pressure Systems International. Peterson will also provide the custom wiring harness for the lights, through its Maxi-Seal division.

“Peterson Manufacturing has been named the standard supplier of the indicator light and electrical harness for P.S.I.,” announced Steve Otteman, vice-president and CFO for P.S.I. “As the world’s leader in automatic tire inflation systems, P.S.I. must use suppliers that are also world leaders. Peterson and Maxi-Seal provide the high quality products we demand for our lighting and harness system needs. Their outstanding quality, delivery, and customer service make them a key link in the P.S.I. supply chain.”
