Eaton names new v.p. of technology, vehicle group

GALESBURG, Mich. – In a release today, Eaton named Gerard DeVito its new vice-president, technology, vehicle group.

DeVito began with Eaton 27 years ago and was the previous director of next generation transmissions, North America Trucks.

The new position will begin on Nov. 1 for DeVito and he will be based in Galesburg, Mich. while reporting to Ken Davis, president of Eaton Vehicle Group and Jeff Lowinger, senior v.p. and chief technology officer of the industrial sector.

DeVito will now be in charge of leading and directing all engineering activities for the vehicle group in his new position.

“Gerard’s technical and engineering experience with Eaton will serve the vehicle group business well in his new role,” said Davis. “As we work to develop and commercialize new technologies to help our customers solve their most challenging issues, Gerard is ideally suited to lead the teams that will deliver our next generation of breakthrough technologies.”
