Montréal, Que. – FPInnovations Performance Innovation Transport (PIT) group announced today that Marius Surcel, technical leader, will be on a panel focused on fuel economy testing for commercial vehicle aerodynamics.

The panel will be at the SAE 2014 Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress (COMVEC) on October 7-9 at the Rosemont Convention Centre in Chicago, Ill.

“Having played a key role in PIT’s controlled test-track fuel efficiency studies of trailer aerodynamic devices, Marius will bring a unique perspective to this important discussion,” said Yves Provencher, director of the PIT group. “ His experience in testing over 230 fuel efficiency products will serve him well as an expert on this panel to help commercial-vehicle industry leaders and innovators focus on aerodynamics and to accelerate the implementation of fuel efficient technology.”

The COMVEC event will have presentations by experts from seven countries across four continents.
