Show organizers declare Truck World a success

TORONTO, Ont. — More than 19,000 people attended Truck World last month, making it the “best show to date,” according to show organizers.

Joe Glionna, director of Newcom Business Media’s Truck Group, said the strong attendance came on the heels of a record-breaking turnout for the Fleet Managers’ breakfast that preceded the show.

The 19,256 who attended the show were slightly less than the overall attendance at the 2010 Truck World show, organizers said, noting most of the drop came on Saturday.

The show drew more than 300 executives to the Fleet Managers’ breakfast and 357 exhibitors participated in the show itself.

Show organizers also announced the signing of a 20-year deal with the Ontario Trucking Association, which will continue to endorse Truck World. Newcom will host ExpoCam in Montreal Apr. 11-13, 2013 and Truck World will return to Toronto Apr. 10-12, 2014.

  • I wonder if they keep track of how many attended using the free passes that were made readily available? those numbers would be interesting to see.
